Tanner Thompson
Tanner Thompson is a Functional Analyst at Loop Consulting and brings eight years of experience across consulting support, onboarding operations, and Workday-related process improvement. Since joining Loop in 2018, he has built his experience within the organization, evolving from onboarding and staffing support into a consulting role focused on helping clients get more value from their systems.
His work focuses on Workday optimization after implementation, especially in environments where issues emerge once systems are live. Tanner partners with HR, HRIS, and payroll teams to support HCM optimization, payroll, security, and reporting, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and strong processes. He typically works with small to midsize companies with complex payroll and HR operations.
Earlier in his career at Loop, Tanner supported onboarding and staffing operations, managing end-to-end onboarding processes and working closely with payroll and HR teams. That experience built a strong foundation in system troubleshooting, process improvement, and end-user support, which continues to inform his consulting work today.
Tanner earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Augusta University. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, along with playing golf and tennis.
